  2. Holiday cheer for me this year is best illustrated by this: My daughter (5 yrs) and I were u-checking at the grocery store and she found a quarter left in the change machine. She held on to it with so much excitement as I gathered the bags to leave and lifted her into the cart. The quarter slipped from her hand, fell to the ground and rolled out of sight. We looked all over on our hands and knees for it as she sobbed. She fell apart at the thought of not finding this quarter, until we finally spotted it. She held it tight in her hand and marched straight to the Salvation Army donation bucket. Looked the man straight in the eye, dropped in her prize quarter, wished him a Merry Christmas and danced her way to the car :)

  3. Holiday cheer means family most of all. But the decorations are awesome too.

  4. Holiday cheer is sitting by the fire with family drinking something warm and delicious. Warmth and cheer on the inside and out.

  5. holiday cheer means family and tradition, laughing and good times. I look forward to carrying on the traditions of my childhood with my own kids and to creating new traditions of our own.

  6. Holiday cheer is being happy with and thankful for what you have rather than whining about what you're lacking. Thanking God for health, family, friends, food, shelter, and anything and everything beyond what's necessary. There are so many in the world with literally nothing, including health and family, that are still cheerful - they are alive - it could be worse. We could learn a thing or two and truly be thankful for all we've been given.

  8. too late for a comment, but i thought i'd mention that holiday cheer to me is getting deeper within, to the roots of Christmas, which is, to me, the birth of hope and aspirations, and the true feeling of giving. avoiding the commercialized aspect of Christmas, I try do dig within. Classical Christmas songs sometimes help... Blessings!
